Q&A

If you got our invite and thought “man, I have a lot of questions for these guys” then you’ve come to the right place.

Welcome to the Q&A.

Below you will find replies to a series of statements that we assume have run through your head.

“Oh my goodness I’m so honoured to be invited but what on Earth does ‘semi-formal’ mean?!”

If you are like Natalie and you panic about big events, the wording on the invite probably wasn’t super helpful. Semi-Formal just means like, wear something nice and maybe don’t wear denim or sweatpants.

We are hoping that the vibes will be super happy so if you own bright colours, please feel free to wear them! If that’s not helpful, please message either of us for moral support.

“But is it indoors or outdoors? What shoes do I wear?”

Both!
Ceremony is outdoors (weather pending).
Reception is indoors.
We would recommend not wearing stilleto shoes and bringing a jacket in case of cold.

“Um, an outdoor ceremony in April? That feels risky with the weather.”

So true. Melbourne weather is awful and unpredictable. We have 2 backup options.

  1. In the event of predicted light rain, the ceremony will still take place at 58 Hughes Street Upwey.
  2. In the event of predicted torrential weather, the ceremony will be moved to the Wandin East Hall. If this happens, guests will be notified the week of the wedding. We will 100% make sure to let you know.

“Okay so, where can I park my Ford Focus/Dodge Ram and/or other car model?”

There is limited street parking outside the ceremony venue, however there is parking a little ways up the hill (Please see attached photo. Please wear sensible shoes.) Please note, this is a residential location.

Please be mindful of the neighbours and do not park in their driveways.

There is plenty of parking at the reception venue. We recommend car pooling to both venues for maximum vibes.

“What time should I show up to the ceremony?”

Please arrive by 3pm to ensure you have a good view of every emotion that Jacob goes through while he stands at the front.

“What should we do in between the ceremony and the reception?”

GREAT question. As Hills People, Jacob and I have put together a list of things in the local area that we think are worth your time. Check out the “Things to Do” page of our website.

DO NOT TRY TO RIDE PUFFING BILLY IT WILL TAKE LONGER THAN YOU THINK

“Oooh can I bring my gorgeous children?”

While we love your gorgeous children, unfortunately, we can only accommodate people who are listed on the invite.

“Oooh can I bring that gorgeous person I met on Tinder last Saturday?”

While we met on a dating app and are very supportive of the endeavour, unfortunately, we can only accommodate people who are listed on the invite.

“When do we send in our RSVP?”

Before the 28th of March pls! Click here to RSVP

“Are y’all serving food or nah?”

Heck yes we are!!!! We recommend eating a good lunch as there will not be food at the ceremony, but at the reception there will be a spit roast dinner and desserts.

“I really don’t want to have to go buy a gift.”

Great news! You don’t have to! We are just glad that you’re considering coming! If you feel inclined to smother us with your generosity, we will have a wishing well available on the day.

“Guys, I’m still confused”

Give us a call and we will sort it out <3
